The County Judge as budget officer reported that a tan cent reduction in the county tax rate would be recome, I' mended for the 1952 budget to be prepared and submitted to the Court during the month of July, 1951. In I ` view of the foregoing and because of the urgent necessity for additional money in the Road and Bridge Fund and the General Fund, both of which are now supported by tax levies to the Constitutional limit, it : was the unanimous decision of the members of the Court that for the tax year of 1951 the county tax rate Y , S , should be reduced by tat cots per $100.00 valuation and that the property renditions should be uniforml • , y . - increased by twenty-five per cent (25%) from the figures used prior to October 1, 195D. .t 5• WHEREUPON, motion was made, duly seconded and uaadmoumly adopted by which the Court voted to y adopt an eighty (80) cant tau rate for the County for the tax year of 19511 to be set up In the budget required to be submitted during July of 1951, and further ordered that all of the tau valuations on the • 1 "4rt N county rolls as of September 30, 1950, the and of the 1950 ta: year, be Increased by a straight twenty- five per cent (25$), effective from and after this date; and that the Tau Assessor-Collectoir of Bassos , County be instructed to assess all taxes for the coming year at this increased valuation. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Combat voted to allow claims for official travel expense as followas 5 Virgil Estill, Constable, Precinct No. 4, for attending annual convention of Texas Sheriffs , _$Assoalation at Galveston, Teams, on September 13-24, 1950, in the amount of $22.30, payable from the General fund{ j Newton Burling Commissioner, Precinct No. 4, expense covering trip to Waco an September 12,, 1950, at $5.00; and trip to Beaumont on September 21, at $7.50, making a total of $12.50, to be paid k: from the Travel Egwose Item in the Road and Bridge Fund{ Myde J.
