A delegation of members from the Brazos County Home Demonstration Club, composed of Mesdames ~1'tt
R. W Caldwell, V. B. Harris, Ralph Cobb, Leldon Andrews, and A. L. Scales, appeared before the Court
and requested that an increase in salary be given Liss Emily Ritter, Home Demonstration Agent, in recog~-
aition of her outstanding service and splendid record of help and cooperation. This matter was taken t
under advisement for possible inclusion in the forthcoming budget. ;

lowing statement which is hereby ordered to be published each each weak for three consecutive weeks
prior to the date of final action thereon, in each the Bryan Daily Eagle and the Bryan Newst
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSN ROAD MACHINERY WARRANTS
Notice is hereby given by the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, of its
intention to issue road machinery warrants, the proceeds of which are to be used for the
purchase of road machinery and equipment contracted to be purchased by said Court at its
regular meeting held in the City of Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, on Monday, July 31, 1950,
upon open competitive bids which were found to be the lowest, best and most advantageous to
Brazos County, and which bids had been duly requested by written notices and specifications
Issued and mailed out in advance of said meeting.
Final action for the issuance and delivery of the proposed warrants will be,tasen by
the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, at its regular meeting on Monday,
September 11, 1950, at its usual meeting-place in the Courthouse of said County in
Bryan, Texas.
Said warrants will be for a total of Forty Thousand Eight Hundred and Five and No/100
(240,805.00) Dollars, dated September 15, 19509 with 420,805.00 of said principal maturing on
or before May 1, 1952, and $20,000.00 maturing on or before May 1, 1953; all of said principal
bearing interest from date until paid at a rate not to exceed two (2) per cent per antrum, the
interest payable on or before Vey 1, 1951, and semi-annually thereafter on or before each
November 1 and Uay 1, during the existence of said indebtedness; both principal and interest
being payable at The First National Bank of Brya:i, at Bryan, Texas.
The principal and interest of these road machinery warrants shall be payable frog current
revenues accruing to Brazos County, and for the payment of such, the full faith and cr,sdit of
the County shall be pledged, to the extent of such indebtedness.
BY ORDER of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos Count;, Texas, during the regular session
hold at Bryan, Texas, oil this 31st day of July, A. D. 1950.
