W on Tuesday, May 16, 1950, in the office of the County Judge at the Courthouse in Bryan, Texas, with the z, following members presents J A. S. Ware, County Judge, presiding; r, Raymond A. Whereupon it was found and declared that the proposition to consolidate was approved in said TABOR DISTRICT NO. 12, by a majority of 61 votes, according to the foregoing returns. The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, met in special session Thursday Morning at ten O'clock a.m., May 25, 1950 at the office of the County Judge of Brasoe County, Texas, at the Courthouse, with the following members present: A. S. WARE, County Judge, presiding; WILLIAM A. CONRAD, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 2; CLYDE J. PORTERFIELD, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 3; and NEWTON BURLIN, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 4, r u The purpose of the meeting was to consider and act upon the bid submitted by Mr. W. E. Goad of Route 1, Box 30, Hearne, Texas, for the purchase of,a used heavy-duty Galion Motor Grader bought during 1940 and now being operated in Precinct No. 2 of Brazos County. WHEREUPON it was found and declared by the Court that the bid of $1500.00 cash submitted by Mr. Goad was the highest and best bid for the item and that it would be greatly to the advantage of Brazos County to accept such bid and sell the used motor ' r , grader for that price. a On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the court voted to'accept this bid r and to sell the motor grader to Mr. Goad for the $1500.00 cash. Whereupon Mr. Goad appeared 1 'i z in open court and delivered his check for $1500.00, and on motion duly seconded and.una-, '.n4mously adopted,'this,sum of money was ordered deposited in the'Road Machinery and Equipment Fund, to be ear-marked for purchase of new equipment to.be alloted to Precinct ` No. 2.
