Crain, resident State Highway Engineer, had submitted to him an estimate of the coat of hard-surface topping 24 feet wide and 1000 feet in length on the wait and of the county public road locally known as the Villa Marie Road, beginning at Taxes State Highway No. 6 and running eastward and northward a distance of 1000 feet. Mr. Burlin further reported that Mr. Jack Parr, the owner and operator of the Sky-Nay Drive-In Theater situated alongside said road, had agreed to pay $300.00 of the cost of this road repair and that under these circumstances he wished the Court to authorize him to proceed with the work, with the understanding that the other $300.00 of the estimated cost thereof would be paid from funds allocated to Precinct No. 4. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, Commissioner Burlin's request was approved and he was authorized to proceed with the work as out- lined. t On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court agreed to pay all bills which had been properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available. Dodson, Justice of the Peace, Precinct No. 4, Braws County, Texas, which occurred at 9:25 o'clock a. M. , ` t- f an Surday; March 26, 1950. • The following resolution was unanimously adopted by the Court: - , ~,i RESOLUTION WHEREAS, in the death of Honorable E. M. Dodson, Justice of the Peace of Precinct No. 4, :)t Brazos County, Texas, on March 26, 1950, Brazos County lost a faithful and respected public servant; the oommunity, a fire and widely known citizen, and his wife, a considerate and • =M}, 1 thoughtful husband; and WHEREAS, it Is with the deepest sorrow that the Commissioners Court notes the passing of c; r this good citizen and faithful public servant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RS90IYED,by the Commissioners Court of Braves County, Texas, in special session at-the Courthouse in the City of Brien, Draws County,.
