S. Were. County Judge, presiding; Raymond A. Nolan, Commissioner; Precinct No. 1: 'S William A. Conrad, Commissioner, Precinct No. 2; ; Clyde J. The purpose of this meeting was to receive and consider bids on a 1/2=sadc capacity ; tilt-type concrete mixer, Model 3J 0, equipped with 11 horse parer gasoline engtne required for use in Precinct No. 2. Whereupon it was found and declared by the Court that the Browning-Ferris Machinery, Company of Houston, Texas, had submitted the lowest and best bid of 1498.00 delivered. • Upon cotton duly seconded and umnimovBly adopted, the Court voted to purchase fro' the Browning f Ferris idaohlaety' Company of Houston, Texas, the following described item to bq allocated to ~i Precinct No. 2, of which William A. Blazek !thereupon it was found and declared by the Court that the net price of•=1765.26 submitted by Brazos Motor Company, was the lowest and beat bid for the truck in question, m on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to aooept the foregoing bid of the Brazos Motor Company and to order the two-ton truck as therein specified at the net price to Brazos County of $1765.26, delivered at Bryan, and directed that this new truck be allocated to Precinot No. 3, of which Mr. Clyde J. Porterfield Is the Commissioner. The Court received and oonsidered the bid of #60.00 made by Mike Perrone of Steele's Store, Texas, for the old 1939 GMC pickup, Motor No. A22822614, which had hereto- fore been offered for sale by the Court. It appearing that this was the highest and b:a- hiole et bid cede and that it would be advantageous to the County to dispose of the old unused for this price, on motion duly seconded and um nimously adopted, the Court voted to accept said bid and to sell the said vehicle to the said Mike Perrone for the $60.00 cash, the amount of his bid. It appearing that this was the highest and best bid ands and ' that it would be advantageous to the County to dispose of the old unused vehicle for this price, on motion duly seconded and unsnimously,adopted, the Court voted to accept said bid and to sell the said vehicle to the said Willie $udr for the $37.50 cash, the amount of his bid. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to authorise the commissioners to , f~ ':'A allow the road hands ten days paid vacation during the year. • On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to pay all bills which had beep +4 properly filed and approved and for which budgeted funds are available. r Commisedomr Newton Burlin of Precinct No. 4 stated that he felt that the Villa Maria county road was more than a local precinct project and that in his opinion the other precincte should contribute to the cost of improving this highway. While the other Commissioners indicated their general interest in the t project, they did not agree to make any allocations of their funds for the purpose of improving this road. Whereupon the Court adjourned.
