1949, with the following mmabers present:
A. S. Ware, County ~udge, presiding;
William A. Conrad, Commissioner, Precinct No. 8;
Clyde ~. Porterfield, uommissioner, Precinct NO. 3; and
Newton Burlin, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4.
The p.orpose of this meetln~ was to consider the matter of purchasing slightly
damaged reinforced concrete road drainpipe offered for sale by the Bryan Building Products
'Company of Bryan, Texas, and which had Just been inspected by Commissioners ~onrad and
· . Burlln, who reported that the 8aid company had on hand 156 lineal feat of 84-inch reInforoe~
concrete pipe which was available at ~1.75 per foot or approximately one-half of the normal
. prloe for euoh pips.
-. In view of the s~atement that Precincts 2 and 4 ~are in Immediate need of a quan-
tity of thin pipe, on motion duly secOnded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to pur-
chase from the said Bryan Building Products company o1' Bryan, 'l~xas, the 156 feet of 84-
in~h reinforced concrete drainpipe at ~[.75 per foot-, totaling ~73.00, and to pro-rats
· ,this purchase between Precincts g and 4 In the followi'-g'proport$ons and amounts and to be
· paid from Precinct funds as follows: - ' .
