! Sheriff Hamilton broug~ht up the matter of a courthouse Janitor, and upon motion duly,
seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to place a Janitor for the ooarthouse unde~
the control and direction of the Sheriff, with full authority for his employment or discharge.
' Mrs. Jewel M. Montgomery, County Treasurer, appeared before the Court and requested
authorization for the destruction of old and out-of-date bank statements, checks and vouchers.
~L~ Whereupon by motion duly seconded and una~nimously ado~ted, the Court voted to authorize the
t County Treasurer to destroy all cancelled checks, vouchers and bank statements more than two
t years old from the date of the last official annual audit made by the Brazes County Auditor°

faot8 before the Court, tho validity of th,e aforesaid right-of-~ay deed oould not now bo die-
turbod or o(,t aside. Whereupon by motion, duly seconded and unanimously Sdopted, the Court
voted to tako no notion in tho premises, but to stand upon the deed as rooorded.
On request of County Clerk A. B. flyptak, the Court approved and authorized the designa-
tion of ~ohnny 5. Lampo to be a Deputy County Clerk, with no oha~ge in oom~ensation.
On motion duly socondod and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to install the prop-
ently owned Cordley elestrio water ooolor (drinking fountain) on tha east wall of the Dis-
trict Courtroom, at a point near to the southeast oornar of said Distriot Courtroom.
On motion duly sooonded and unanimously adopted, the C~rt voted to not allow tho
moving of any house or any structure along any county road without a permit therefor, granted
by the Commissioners' Court in advanoo.
The County Commissioners called attention to tho faot that thoro are reourring vio-
lations of law with referenoe to dumping of trash and other rubbish in county roads, and
also by removal of dirt and sand from tho rights-of-way. ~nasmuoh as such acts are p~ohibit~
by law and persons found guilty are subJost to rather stiff fines, tho members of the Court
called upon the County Attorney and tho Sheriff to oooperate with them in the enforcement of
those laws.
On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to pay all bills whtoh,
have been filed and properly approved and for which budgeted funds are available.
The Court constituted itself into a Board of Equalization for the County and each
member took the prescribed statutory oath and agreed to go into session as the Brazes County
8oar~ of Equalization and to work continuously as such until its work shall have been som-
p~eted for the yearj
