On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to approve and 'authorized the County Clerk to record the plat and dedication of t~oCullooh Addition {{o. ], as submitted by Dr. R. B. Orant, ~r., and wife, Mrs. Pauline McCulleeh Orant, under date of SePtember 14, On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, in view of his insistent refusal to execute official right-of-way easement therefor, the Court authorized the County Attorney to institute condemnation proceedings against ~erald W. Lott, a resident of Navasot~, Grimes County, Texas, for the acquisition of ~,.S1 acres of land in the H. & B. ~itesides Survey, Abstract No. 56, lying and being situated in Brazos County, Texas, and required by the State Highway Commission as a portion of the right-of-way for State Farm-to-Market Highway No. which has been approved for construction by the State of Texas. Commissioner Burkhalter reported to the Court thaZ he had been able to effect a re- duction in the amount of charges made by the R.o B. Oeorge Equipment Company for the repair of a Caterpillar motor grader, Model No. 112, and that this adjustment is now covered by credit memorandum dated September 29, 19~,5, for $2Y,9.00, and that after this adjustment the net bill owing amounted to $491.45, which he reported to be~ Just and correct. Whereupon on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court votud to pay from the Road and Bridge fund to R. B. Oeorge Equipment Company of Dallas, Texas, the following amounts as covered by itemized bills this day filed with the County Clerk: September 25, 19Y,5, ~491.46; September 25, 19~,5, SePtember 25, 1945, $ 60.63. On motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to allow the County Clerk fifty cents each for recording United States Army and Navy discharges, to be paid out of the'Oeneral Fund, collected montttly and remitted to the County Treasurer for credit to the Officers' Salary Fund, as for other official fees of office; and th~ this arrangement be effective from and aftsr~ September 1, . In accordance with the provisions of Article No. 39~,1, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, and on motion duly seconded and unanimously adopted, the Court voted to fix the County Trsas~rer, s cOmmmsSions for the use and benefit of the 0ffieers' Salary Fund at three-fourths of one per cent of all receipts and tl~rse-fourths of one per cent of all disbursements, to be effective from and after September 1, 1945. ~ ; .:.
