Judge at the Courthouse at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, August 13, 1945, with the following

a The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas, met in recessed session at
3 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 17, 1945, with the following present:
A. S. Wars, County Judge, presiding; r
Norton R. Burkhalter, Commissioner of Precinct No. 1;
John A. Rychlik, Commissioner of Precinct No. 2;
Frank Kro, Commissioner of Precinct No. 3;
Boy Danforth, Commissioner of Precinct No. 4; and
B. Syptak, County Clerk.
r Also present by invitation of the Court was Mr. John Solon Griffith, Brazos County
Engineer-designate.
The purpose of this meeting was to ognduot the public hearing upon the 1946 proposed
budget as heretofore submitted by the County Judge, according to formal notices thereof pu
lished for more than three weeks in the Bryan Daily Eagle and the Bryan Meekly News;
and for the transaction of other business.
is After discussion of the budget in detail, item by item, and explanation thereof by °

y the County Judge and the Commissioners, and after all citizens present who desired to
;s y speak had been heard, and there being no objection raised es to any items in said budget,
r on motion of Commissioner Danforth, seconded by Commissioner Ryohlik, and unanimously
adopted, the Court voted to accept and approve the budget as submitted by the County Judge

'y on July 11, 1945.
It is further unanimously voted by the Court to fix and levy occupation taxes for
Brazos County at one-half (1/2) of the rates levied by the State of Texas, and to fix
and levy the County poll tax at 250 per person for 1946. ( 1
It is further voted by the Court to fix and levy taxes for the several common school J
