our county Treasurer, ~r. Roy ~ontgomery° ~y unanimous standing vote, the Court adopted
the following resolution:

V~F~AS, on ~uns 7, 19~5, Rrszos County suffered irrepara=le loss by v~rtus of the
death of ~oy Montgomery, distinsuished citizen and County Treasurer of Brazes County for
20 years; and
M~REAS, it ls the considered optnton of the m~n=ere of the Oommissione~rs' Court tha~
Mr° Montgomery's tenure of offtoe sxtendtn8 throush l0 sonsecut~ve terms has no para,lei
in our loss/ history, and there has not been a public official eve~ to enjoy eom-
plate confidence, respect, and admiration of the people 8o mush ss Mr. Montgomery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RES0LV~D by the Commissioners' Cour~ of Bras0o ~ounty, Texas,
in special meeting on this the 9th day of June, A.U. 19/,5, that we thus memorialize
esteemed citizen and high-class public off/o/el for his ex~emplary son~u~t, heroic life,
end ef 'lolont service to our community, and that a copy of this resoluslon bo spread
upon the official minu~es of thio ~ourt; and that a signed espy be delivered to Mrs.
dews1 ~. Montgomery, the surviving widow, end further that espies De furnished to the
