On motion, duly neoonded a~d unanimously adopted, the Court voted to employ
R'oy Danforth st the rate of $110.00 per month to supervise fence building and other
right-of-way activities now in prosessa on the County*s portion of State Highways and
other roads now being constructed or about to be opened and to pay such expenses out of
the Right-of-way Funds.
Official representatives of the United States ~overnment appeared before the Court
end were represented in person by Mr. Byrdwell Hall, a duly accredited and recognized
agent of the land acquisition organization of the United States Corps of ~ngineers,
and formally advised the Court of the proposal to locate in the western part
Of Brazos County an ~ir Corps ~dvenced Single Engine School Site, to comprise approxi-
mately 2000 acres of land. Mr. Hall formally presented the request of the 6overnment
for the closing of seven (?} County roads or parts of roads traversing the area involved,
which he designated ,in detail.
Whereupon with awry elected member of the Court present and participating, on
motion, duly seconded and unanimously adopted, it was voted to close seven ~?) County
roads which are included in the lands being acquired by the Government of the United
States for U.S.ArmY Air Corps purposes in the area east of the Little Brazos River and
south of State Highway 1~o. 21 in the western part of ~razos County, an6 to direct the
~mm-diate proceedings thereby required and necessary. Descriptions are as follows:
