merits, construction, adaptability, and utility of the two aaoh~nes offered by the
lowest bidders, including the bbility for bao~-d~umping, it was unanimously a~eed by the
members of the Court t~at the bid of zrowning-~erris C~mpany of Houston, Texas, on a
Bueyrus-Erie No. 25 at $1630.~ltnet delivered, was the beet bid available, and would give
Brazes County. greater seX'vice and value for the money, even though the Baker Scraper, not
so well adapted to our uses, was quoted at $77.2§ less or at ~1652.?§ net.
· ' Aocordin~, a motion was duly 'made seconded and adopted by a vote of four for and not one
against to buy the Bucyrus-Eri~ No. 28 at a net price of $15~0.00 to Brazes County, de-
layered, in accordance v~th the bid submitted by Bro .wnin~-Ferris Compan~ of Houston,
and the County Judge was authorized to issue the necessary requisition.
It fas voted unanimously to take over from Precinct No; 4(Commissioner M.B.Parker]
the 01d International T.D. 40 gasoline tractor, and make it a county-wide unit to go.
~th and operate the new scraper {also a scanty-wide unit of equipment), and in view of
appraisal of one thousand dollars for such tractor, to allow ~reoinot No. 4 the sum of
seven hundred fifty dollars {$750.00) out of the ~oad and Bridge Fund of the County for
machine; such allowance to be expended from such fund for that precinct directly, instead
of writing checks and redepositing them to credit of the precinct.
It ~as voted to allot $~00.00 of th.e Road and Bridge i~and to the construction and
improvement of the ~renek Tap Road in Precinct No. 1, and also $200.00 to the improvement
and construction of the hew public road 50 feet wide and appro~mately 3/4 .mile long as
recently provided for in Lamer Williams Subdivision of a portion' of Moses Baine Sttrvey,
Precinct HO. 4.
On notion, duly adopted, the Court recessed to meet again on Monday July 17, 1940.
