TEXAS BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT • • WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2002 at 7:00 P.M. The Brazos County Commissioners Court will participate in a joint meeting with the College Station City Council and the Bryan City Council on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. This meeting will be conducted at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Texas. 1. Call to Order. 2. Discussion and possible action with State Representative Fred Brown and State Senator Steve Ogden regarding areas of concern for the upcoming legislative session. 3. Adjourn. The Brazos Center is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make arrangements, call (979) 361- 4102. x^39 l b~, • COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING DECEMBER 4, 2002 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held at the Brazos Center in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; C. B. Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. The County Judge opened the Commissioners Court meeting. Mayor Jay Don Watson opened the Bryan City Council meeting. Mayor Ron Silvia opened the College Station City Council meeting. The County Judge introduced State Representative Fred Brown and State Senator Steve Ogden. He then turned the meeting over to College Station City Councilman, James Massey who outlined the areas of concern, those being public safety, local control, finance and water and transportation. Various other council members from both cities elaborated on the four topics. Council member Massey thanked the Senator and Representative for their time. There being no further business to come before the Court, .a i-•9 ypg Commissioners' Court meeting December 4, 2002 the County Judge adjourned the Commissioners Court meeting.
