Discussion of equipment required for law enforcement vehicles Donald Lampo, Deputy Constable explained the reason for requesting a budget amendment to upgrade the video cameras in the Constable's vehicles. Constable Duane Peters explained the upgrades to the microphone and said it would decrease county liability. The County Judge remarked that if $1,005 could be reallocated this early in the budget year then the line item was over budgeted in the first place. He asked the Constable if the vehicle needed maintenance later in the year would he be prepared to park the car. Commissioner Tony Jones stated that it would be cheaper to do the upgrades now before putting the equipment in the vehicles. He stated that the Constable was unaware of this expense at budget time and is trying to fund this from the budget rather than asking for a transfer of funds from Contingency. He suggested that the Court work with the Constable on this. C. Discussion of Software issues Ron Davis, of The Software Group (TSG), was present for discussion. Commissioner Tony Jones asked that a meeting with the • Court, County Auditor, Justices of the Peace and a decision maker from the Information Technology Department meet and work to resolve the problems.
