IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26' STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Call to Order. 2. Presentation and discussion regarding MetLife's "MyBenefits" online system. 3. Discussion of RFP 2002-048RB - Internet Service Provider. 4. Adjourn. The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. To make arrangements, call (979) 3614102. vvol.j a- ~6 • The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in COMMISSIONERS' COURT WORKSHOP SESSION MAY 21, 2002 a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2002, with the following members of the Court present: • Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; C. B. Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to discuss the following: 1. The Court heard a presentation by Cindy Falden of Metlife on the "My Benefits" online website that will be implemented. Employees will be able to check the status of claims on line. They will also have the opportunity to join the Metlife Bank Program that will reimburse employees up to $5.00 • per month for ATM fees. Vol 3a- Page W r~ L Commissioners Court meeting May 21, 2002 Vol 2 2. The Court next discussed RFP-2002-048RB, Internet Service Provider. The Interim Director submitted new, revised prices from Managed Network Solutions. The Purchasing Agent noted that the prices are supposed to be confidential to all vendors and should not be read aloud. Commissioner Tony Jones recommended throwing out all RFP's because he felt very uncomfortable with the way this RFP has been handled. Commissioner Cauley and the Interim Director indicated that they too were uncomfortable.
