BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A WORKSHOP SESSION ON
TUESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2002 AT 11:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM
OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26-m STREET, SUITE 115,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
Call to Order.
2. Discussion regarding processing/filing of subdivision plats for property within the
extraterritorial jurisdiction of the cities.
3. Discussion regarding the amendment of the County's current flood damage prevention
order.
4. Adjourn.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
WORKSHOP SESSION
JANUARY 8, 2002
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in
a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 11:00
a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2002, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
C.B. Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Karen McQueen, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to
discuss the following:
1. The processing and filing of subdivision plats
for property within the extraterritorial
jurisdiction of the cities. There was discussion
on the required specifications and review process
of filing subdivision plats. Judge Jones asked Ray
Crow of.the Road and Bridge Department to continue
to work with the two municipalities on a draft to
submit to the Court for approval.
2. An amendment to the County's current flood
damage prevention order. There was discussion on
new legislature allowing the county to enforce
civil penalties, fines, or seek injunction against
violators. A public hearing is required before an
amendment is made to the current order.
