The County Judge turned the meeting over to Ray Crow,
representative of the Road and Bridge Department who proceeded
to tell the Court that based on the traffic count on Forsthoff
Road of 174 cars per day and the average percentile, the speed
limit on this road should be set at 30 mph.
Roger Bligh, citizen, asked that the speed be set as low
as possible because of the children and animals on Forsthoff
Road. He also stated the dust issue on a non-paved road as
reason for setting the speed low.
Judge Jones stated this issue would be placed on the next
Tuesday's agenda.
Ray Crow then proceeded to tell the Court that based on
the traffic count on Foster Road of 123 cars per day and the
average percentile, the speed limit on this road should be set
at 40 mph.
Theo Richardson, citizen, then submitted a petition to
the Court from citizens living on Foster Road requesting the
speed limit be set at 35 mph.
There being no one else wishing to offer commentary for
or against the proposed speed limit, the County Judge declared
the Public hearing closed.
