Home My WebLink About2001-11-09-1100AM-Special• BRA NOTICE OF • L` BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT SPECIAL CALLED MEETING The Commissioners Court will meet in a Special Called Meeting on Friday, November 9, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Brazos County Courthouse, 300 East 26t° Street, Suite 115, Bryan, Texas. The purpose of the meeting is for the Court to canvas the votes of the November 6, 2001 Constitutional Amendments Election. The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make arrangements, call (979) 361-4102. 7 1 W .-2 (5 0 COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING NOVEMBER 9, 2001 A regular meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2001, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Wm.S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Karen McQueen, County Clerk. The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. The Court proceeded to canvas the results of the Constitutional Amendment Election held November 6, 2001. The County Judge read aloud vote count for each amendment. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Jones, the Court voted unanimously to accept as true the totals as tabulated by the County's automated tabulating equipment and ordered the results to be certified to the Secretary of State and recorded in the Official Election Records of Brazos County. A copy of the election results as tabulated is attached hereto. There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned.
