AND AGENDA
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON TUESDAY,
APRIL 24, 2001 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE
BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING IS FOR DISCUSSION OF THE BRAZOS
COUNTY ORDER REGARDING ON-SITE SEWAGE FACILITIES AND INSPECTION
FEES.
ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any sign
interpretive services must be requested two business days before the meeting. To make

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
APRIL 24, 2001
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to hear discussion on the Brazos County Order
Concerning On-site Sewage Facilities and Inspection Fees. The
meeting was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, with the following members of
the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Presiding;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed Brazos County Order Concerning
On-site Sewage Disposal Facilities and Inspection Fees.
The County Judge turned the meeting over to Commissioner
Sims who then explained that the Order was a recommendation
from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission. He
went on to say that the County's Order is more stringent than
required by the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission
under Section 10 of the Order.
The following people spoke:
1. Commissioner Thornton asked if there
would be a change in the fee structure.
2. Julie Anderson, representing the Health
Department presented an overview of
Section 10 of the Order.
3. Ramiro Quintero, Precinct 5 Justice of
the Peace and plumber, commented on the
cost or inspection by the TNRCC.
There being no further comment, the meeting was closed.
