IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. THE PURPOSE OF THE HEARING IS TO CONSIDER A REQUEST FROM J. R. BIRDWELL FOR A REVISION TO THE PLAT OF WICKSON LAKE ESTATES, A SUBDIVISION LOCATED AT THE END OF WICKSON LAKE ROAD IN BRAZOS COUNTY AND DULY RECORDED IN VOLUME 296, PAGE 195. ALL INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND SAID HEARING AND PRESENT THEIR CAUSE, IF ANY, FOR OR AGAINST THE REVISION OF THE PLAT OF WICKSON LAKE ESTATES. C~ The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. To make arrangements, call (979) 361-4102. &molt, qj COMMISSIONERS' COURT PUBLIC HEARING FEBRUARY 20, 2001 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing to consider a revision to the plat of Wickson Lake Estates. The meeting was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2001, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary for and against the proposed revision to the plat of Wickson Lake Estates. The Public Hearing Notice was read aloud. County Judge opened the floor for public comment. Dick Birdwell presented an overview of the tract of land being re-subdivided and the location of the site. He also asked for following ten (10) variances from the current Regulations, Article XIV, A. Mr. Birdwell informed the Court that this will be a subdivision with private roads. 1. Request for 50 feet of right-of-way in lieu of 70 feet. 2. Request for dead end road 2,600 feet long in lieu of 1000 feet maximum. 3. Request that no cul-de-sac be required at end of road. 4. Request for an intersection at less than 90 degrees. 5. Request that 16 foot utility easement not be cleared. Vol. Page 49 --7- - x Commissioners Court Public Hearing February 20, 2001 2 6. Request that 10 foot utility easements along 1 side and back of the lots not be required. • 7. Request that unpaved crushed rock street be allowed. 8. Request for a crushed rock street width 16 feet , in lieu of 24 feet. I 9. Request crushed rock thickness of 6 inches in lieu of 8 inches. 10. Request use of existing soil for sub-grade material without stabilization Commissioner Sims reviewed with the Court some recommendations he made to the-developer. The Developer requested to variances be considered and authorized on March 30, 2001.
