IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26T'1 STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Call to order 2. Presentation b% representatives ofthe B/CS Economic Development Corporation relative to Freeport Tax Exemption. 3. Discussion of the Department of Information Technology relative to the following topics: a. Organizational chart b. Salary structure c. Job descriptions d. Mission statement e. Other related topics, as necessary 4. Discussion of Brazos Center policies. S. Discussion of an Internet E-Mail policy. The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. COMMISSIONERS' COURT WORKSHOP SESSION JANUARY 16, 2001 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2001, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to hear a presentation by frank Murphy, Acting Director of the Bryan/College Station Economic Development Corporation and Bob Malaise, representative of the Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Murphy reported on the search for a CEO for the Economic Development Corporation. He updated the Court on the computer chip producing plant that has shown an interest in locating in Brazos County. Bob Malise presented the Freeport Exemption Statute, the impact it would have on Brazos County and the procedure for implementing the exemption by the County. Ernie Laney, Interim Director of the Information Technology Department and Commissioner Cauley discussed the following topics: a. Organizational Chart b. Salary Structure c. Job description d. Mission Statement e.
