IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Call to order. 2. Consider and take action on Budget Amendment 00/01-12. 3. Convene into Executive Session pursuant to 551.074 relative to the deliberation of personnel matters for the Computer & Network Services Department. 4. Consider and take action on Executive Session. 5. Adjourn. The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL CALLED MEETING DECEMBER 22, 2000 A special called meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2000, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Wm.S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Presiding; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and officials that were in attendance. The Court first considered Budget Amendment #00/01-12.1 which would increase the budget of the 272nd District Court. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted. A copy is attached. At 9:01 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting closed to the public so that the Court could meet in closed executive session to discuss personnel as allowed under the Texas Government Code Section 551.074. At 10:48 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting open to the public. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to appoint Ernie Laney as Interim Director of the Computer and Network Services Department and Patti Tijerina as Assistant Interim Director. The current director, M. J. Deen, will step down and fill a lesser position.
