NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the
renaming of Tickle-Tongue Road and the naming of the stretch of road along FM 158 between
Highway 60 and Highway 30, Boonville Road. Both sites are in Precinct 3.
The place of the hearing will be at the Brazos Center, 3232 Briarcrest Drive, Bryan, Texas. The date
of the hearing will be Monday, August 28, 2000 and the time of the hearing will be 6:00 p.m.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against
the renaming of Tickle-Tongue Road and the naming of the stretch of road along FM 158 between
Highway 60 and Highway 30, Boonville Road.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make

PUBLIC HEARING
AUGUST 28, 2000
.The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider the renaming of Tickle Tongue Road
and the naming of to stretch of road along FM 158 between
Highway 60 and Highway 30 Boonville Road. The meeting was
held at the Brazos Center in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas,
beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2000, with the
following members of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed renaming of Tickle Tongue Road
and the naming of the stretch of road along FM 158 between
Highway 60 and Highway 30, Boonville Road.
The County Judge opened the meeting and asked for
comments related to the renaming of Tickle Tongue Road. He
also asked for comments relating to the naming of that portion
of road along FM 158 between Highway 60 and Highway 30 to
Boonville Road.
Hearing no commentary for or against, the County Judge
declared the Public hearing closed.
