THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING ON
FRIDAY, AUGUST 18, 2000 AT 11:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
1. Presentation of the Proposed County Budget for Fiscal Year 2001.
2. Establishing the date and time for a public hearing regarding the proposed
budget for Fiscal Year 2001.

SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
AUGUST 18, 2000
A special called meeting of the Commissioners' Court of
Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom
in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at
11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2000, with the following
members of the Court present:

Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm.S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and
officials that were in attendance.
The first matter before the Court was the presentation of
the proposed county budget for fiscal year 2001.
The Court next considered establishing the date and time
for a public hearing concerning the proposed budget for fiscal
year 2001. On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by
Commissioner Jones, the Court voted unanimously to hold a
public hearing in the 85'h District Courtroom of the Brazos
County Courthouse, Bryan, Texas on Wednesday, August 30, 20000
at 9:00 a.m. for the purpose of discussing the proposed Brazos
County budget for fiscal year ending September 30, 2001.
Demetrios Basdekas asked what were the top three
priorities. The County Judge declined to respond to the
question.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
