NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the
posting of speed limits on Quail ltun in the Quail Run Subdivision located in Precinct 1.
The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse, Room
115,300 East 26'h Street, Bryan. 1'exas. The date of the hearing will be Tuesday, February 22, 2000
and the time of the hearing will be 10:30 a.m.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against
the posting of speed limits on Quail Run.

PUBLIC HEARING
FEBRUARY 22, 2000
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider the posting of speed limits on
Quail Run Drive in the Quail Run Subdivision in Precinct 1.
The meeting was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30
a.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2000, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed setting of speed limits on Quail
Run Drive.
The County Judge turned the meeting over to Mike Parks,
representative of the Metropolitan Planning Organization and
Ray Crow representative of the Road and Bridge Department who
proceeded to tell the Court that based on the traffic count of
1,100 cars per day and the average percentile, the speed limit
should be set at 35 mph.
There being no one present to offer commentary for or
against the proposed speed limit, the County Judge declared
the Public hearing closed.
