F j. a r a ~ COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 17, 1995 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 17, 1995, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant Susan Gandy Secretary to County Judge Bea Green Secretary to Commissioners John Reynolds Auditor Kay Hamilton Treasurer Ron Quiran Intern Mervin Peters Brazos County Resident John Millhollon Brazos County Resident John E. Anderson Economic Dev. Corporation Robert Worley Economic Dev. Corporation Wm. S. Thornton Economic Dev. Corporation The County Judge gave the invocation and led the pledge of allegiance. The Court heard a presentation from the members of the Economic Development Council on an incentive proposal to Sanderson Farms, Inc. to attract the business to Brazos ,County. John Anderson, Chairman of the Economic Development Corporaton, gave a slide presentation on the Sanderson Farms operation. The County Judge thanked the members of the EDC for the presentation mentioning it would be a great economic boon for the community if the operation would locate here in Brazos County. There being no further business to come before the court, the meeting was adjourned.
