THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WELL MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON TUESDAY,
JANUARY 3, 1995 AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE
BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
1. Invocation.
2. Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Approve minutes of Commissioners Court meeting held December 29, 1994.
4. Consider and take action on setting the holidays for 1995.
5. Consider and take action on approval of Official Bonds for the newly elected
officials.
6. Consider and take action on personnel change of status.
7. Consider and take action of payment of claims.
8. Adjourn.

SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 3, 1995 ,
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
` County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
i Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00
a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 1995, with the following members
of the Court present:

Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

The County Judge gave the invocation and led the pledge
of allegiance.
' The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the
Commissioners' Court meetings held December 29, 1994. On
'motion by commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner Cauley,
the Court voted unanimously to approve the minutes as
submitted.
On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commis-
sioner Walker, the Court set the holidays to be observed by
Brazos.County for 1995:
January 16, Martin Luther King Birthday `
April 14, Good Friday
May 29, Memorial Day
July 4, Independence Day
September 4, Labor Day
} November 23 & 24 Thanksgiving
December 25 & 26 Christmas
January 1, 1996 New Year
One (1) Floating Holiday - The "floating holiday" may be
taken anytime between January 1 and December 31, 1995,

Commissioners Court meeting January 3, 1995
provided an employee has been employed a minimum of six (6)
months. Employees must receive department head approval
before taking the floating holiday.
The next matter before the Court was consideration of the
elected officials bonds. The County Clerk informed the Court
that she had received the following'bonds:

The bond of Justice of the Peace Precinct 7 Place 2, Wes Hall
had been signed but was not in the County Clerk's possession.
On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner
Norton, the Court voted unanimously to approve the elected
officials bonds with the exception of the bond of Wes Hall
which will be approved at a later date.
The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of
the following employees.

On motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner
Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as
submitted.
The County Judge made the following announcements:
a) Jane Moore will sit in the Judge's office temporarily
b) A Copy of the Claims Register will be included in
each Commissioners packet
c) The County Judge expressed his thanks to the Sheriff
for all his help in the investiture in ceremonies
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
