THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN SPECIAL SESSION ON THURSDAY,
DECEMBER 22, 1994, AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Consider and take action on a Tax Abatement with the
Economic Development Council.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING-
DECEMBER 22, 1994
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00
a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 1994, with the following
members of the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendances

The Court met to consider a tax abatement for Conoco
Incorporated as presented by the Economic Development'Council
and is for the addition to Moore Business Forms building.
+ This will be presented to the City of Bryan for consideration
at their next meeting. The abatement will be presented to
` Conoco, Inc. as an incentive to locate in Brazos County. The
Economic Development Council is requesting a ninety five
percent (95%) tax abatement for the first two (2) years with
a five percent (5%) decrease in tax abatement every two (2)
years for ten (10) years. Should the company leave prior to
the end of the ten (10) year period, all abated taxes will
become due and payable. The abatement will not take the

property off the tax rolls. On motion by the County Judge,
seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to
approve the tax abatement for Conoco, Incorporated. William
Thornton asked the Court to amend the motion to include
adoption of the recommendations or changes made by the City of
Bryan provided it does not increase the abatement. The County

Judge amended his motion to include the statement. Commis-
sioner Sims amended his second and the motion carried
unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
