Adjourn. r 1o • II f II ~a t ff t y C _ t COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING OCTOBER 24, 1994 H F t A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 1994, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Absent= Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1= Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Presiding= Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3s Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 41 Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant Carol Palmer Admin. Asst. to County Judge Bea Green secretary to Commissioners John Reynolds Auditor Cheryl Turney Auditor's Office Marijane Deen Data Processing John Branch Data Processing The Court met to consider the purchase of computer hardware, software and maintenance agreements for the county. The court discussed the purchase of computers for the various offices with the representatives of the Data Processing Department. On motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the expenditure of $45,587.19 on an open Purchase Order for the purchase of computer hardware and software and authorized the payment thereof. The Court next discussed Maintenance Agreements. The County Auditor pointed out the county currently pays $20,718.00 in maintenance agreements for computers and printers. Currently new computers cost $1,300 each with a three (3) year warranty and annual maintenance coverage being $320.00. The Auditor also pointed out that replacement costs for parts were low enough that maintenance agreements were not necessary. The Court decided to take the information under consideration. 3 3- . 1 . r The next matter the Court discussed was a Computer Use Policy.
