Holmgreen, County Judge Gary Norton, Commissioner Pct. 1 Walter Wilcox, Commissioner Pct. 2 Randy Sims, Commissioner Pct. 3 Milton Turner, Commissioner Pct. 4 FROM: Cheryl K. Turney Purchasing Agent DATE: March 11, 1993 SUBJECT: Recommendation for RFP No. 93 -674 Mary Ann Ward, M.J. Deen, and I evaluated and considered the three bids received for the County Clerk's Computerized Optical Imaging System. After seeing a demonstration from each of these vendors, we determined that Government Records would best suit our current needs. We have contacted a number of County Clerk references throughout Texas that highly recommend Government Records, therefore it appears they offer the least risk to Brazos County. The tabulation attached outlines Brazos County's options for Purchase, Lease /Purchase, and Lease only. Leasing the equipment would be the most costly over a five year analysis and is not recommended. We do recommend that Brazos County purchase this equipment outright. The equipment furnished under this bid is of the latest technology and should serve Brazos County well over the next five years. This tabulation also reflects final figures after negotiations with Government Records.
