IN THE COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS. 1. Consider and take action on report from Consultant and award- ing contract for new computer system. 2. Adjourn. VO PAGE 3d _ 9 COMMISSIONERS' COURT SPECIAL MEETING • NOVEMBER 9, 1992 A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, November 9, 1992, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: • Ruth McLeod Carol Palmer Bea Green Sharon Fairchild Rosalie Todaro Cheryl Turney A. H. Asst. to County Judge Secretary to Commissioners Auditor Auditor's Office Auditor's Office County Engineer Data Processing Data Processing Data Processing Computer Consultant QIV QIV QIV Hewlett Packard The County Judge turned the meeting over to the Computer • Consultant, Dr. Dan Colunga. Dr. Colunga answered questions from the representatives of IBM and QIV about the evaluation procedure. He stated that IBM was in compliance with the bid specifications but felt that the proposal was inadequate. He recommended acceptance of the proposal submitted by Hewlett- Packard in the amount of $226,713.00 plus the network option for a total amount of $441,518.00. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Computer Consultant. There being no further business to come before the Court, the meeting was adjourned.
