BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL CALLED SESSION ON
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29,1999, AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM
OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
CONSIDER AND TAKE ACTION ON THE ADJUSTMENT OF JUROR PAY.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap.parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make

SPECIAL MEETING
OCTOBER 29, 1999

A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00
a.m. on Friday, October 29, 1999, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The attached sheet contains the names of the citizens and
officials that were in attendance:
The Court met to discuss various levels of pay for jurors
in Justice of the Peace Courts, Grand Jury, County Courts at
Law and District Courts. The County Judge moved to not pay
a juror for the first day of service but to pay $40.00 for
each day served thereafter effective October 29, 1999.
Commissioner Thornton seconded the motion and it carried
unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
