BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
SPECIAL CALLED MEETING
The Commissioners Court will meet in a special called meeting for the purpose of canvassing
votes of the May 1,1999election for the Rural Fire Prevention District t13.
The meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, May 5, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. in the
Commissioners Courtroom of the Brazos County Courthouse, 300 East 26, Street, Suite 115,
Bryan, Texas.

The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
MAY 5, 1999
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 1999, with the following members of
the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The Court met in special session for the purpose of
canvassing votes of the May 1, 1999 election for the creation
of Rural Fire Prevention District #3. There were a total of
259 votes cast for the creation of the District and 149 votes
cast in opposition to the creation of District as shown on the
vote tabulation that is attached. On motion by Commissioner
Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Jones, the Court voted
unanimously to certify the votes to the Secretary of State's
office.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.

I, Alvin W. Jones, County Judge of Brazos County, Texas, met with the Brazos County
Commissioners Court on May 5, 1999, sitting as the canvassing board to canvass the special
election held May 1, 1999 at Brazos County, Texas.
