THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A WORKSHOP SESSION ON
TUESDAY, JANUARY 12,1999 AT 5:00 P.M. IN THE 85TH DISTRICT COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 225, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP IS FOR A DISCUSSION OF THE DISPOSITION
OF TOBACCO LITIGATION SETTLEMENT PROCEEDS.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in
a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 5:00
p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 1999, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to
discuss the disposition of tobacco litigation setlement
proceeds. Representatives from the following organizations
made presentations:
a) Hospice
b) Prenatal Clinic
c) Family Helath Clinic
d) Girls Club
e) BVCASA
f) Brazos Valley Rehab.
g) St. Joseph Hospital
h) League of Women Voters
i) Brazos County Community Council
J) Health for All
k) United Way
