NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the
posting of speed limits on Hardy Weedon Road located in Precinct 3.
The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse, 300
East 26th Street, Suite 115, Bryan, Texas. The date of the hearing will be Tuesday, December 22,
1998 and the time of the hearing will be 10:30 a.m.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and pc+esent their cause, if any, for or against
the posting of speed limits on Hardy Weedon Road.
The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign
interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make arrangements,

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider the posting of speed limits on
Hardy Weedon Road in Precinct 3.. The meeting was held in the
Commissioners'--Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos
County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December
22, 1998, with the following members of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Absent;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Presiding;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed reduction of speed limits on
Hardy Weedon Road in Precinct 3.
Commissioner Sims turned the meeting over to Ray Crow,
Engineering Aid, from the Road and Bridge Department who
proceeded to tell the Court that based on the traffic count
and the average percentile, the speed limit should be set at
45 mph. He also recommended having the road patrolled for
traffic violators. He went on to elaborate on the procedure
for posting speed limit signs throughout the county.
There being no further comment, Commissioner Sims
declared the Public hearing closed.
