Jones, County Judge, Presiding= Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The meeting was hosted by the City of College Station and was called to order by College Station Mayor Lynn McIlhaney. Bryan Mayor Lonnie Stabler called the Bryan City Council to order. Brazos County Judge, Alvin W. Jones, called the Commissioners Court to Order. Mayor McIlhaney welcomed the state legislators and called for comments from Fred Brown, Steve Ogden and C. B. Jones. There was a presentation on Specific Legislative Initiatives such as Groundwater Conservation Districts and Certificate of Convenience & Necessity (CCN) Compensation. The assembly next heard a discussion on Legislative Matters of Local interest such as annexation, utility franchise issues and electric deregulation.
