THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A SPECIAL CALLED SESSION ON
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6,1998 AT 2:00 P.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM
OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE MEETING IS TO CANVASS THE RETURNS OF THE SPECIAL
ELECTION IN STATE REPRESENTATIVE, DISTRICT 13.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made two business days before the meeting. To make

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 6, 1998
A special meeting of the commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 2:00
p.m. on Friday, November 6, 1998, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Court proceeded to canvas the results of the Special
Election in State Representative, District 13 held November 3,
1998. On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner
Sims, the Court voted unanimously to accept as true the totals
and ordered the results to be certified to the Secretary of
State and recorded in the Official Election Records of Brazos
County. A copy of the election results as tabulated is
attached hereto.
There was no citizen input and/or concerns.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
