TEXAB ~ v 6 OEPUT NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the posting of speed limits on Sweetwater Drive located in Precinct 1. • The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse, Suite 115, 300 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas. The date of the hearing will be Tuesday, September 29, 1998 and the time of the hearing will be 10:00 a.m. All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against the posting of speed limits on Sweetwater Drive. ~a t; .t ,x ~f I r The building is wheelchair accessible. To make arrangements, call (409) 361-4102. ~s a.....1, ~ 4..v 0 COMMISSIONERS' COURT PUBLIC HEARING SEPTEMBER 29, 1998 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a Public Hearing to consider the posting of speed limits on Sweetwater Drive. The meeting was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 1998, with the following members of the Court present: Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary for and against the proposed posting of speed limits on Sweetwater Drive in Precinct 1. Commissioner Jones who proceeded to tell the Court that based on the traffic count and the 85 percentile study, the recommended speed limit is 40 mph. He also recommended having the road patrolled for traffic violators. There being no further comment, the County Judge declared the Public hearing closed.
