THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A WORKSHOP SESSION ON
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1998, AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS
COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET,
SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION IS FOR THE DISCUSSION OF
FUTURE EXPANSION OF THE COUNTY JAIL FACILITIES.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
WORKSHOP SESSION
FEBRUARY 3, 1998
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in
a Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in 'the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 1998, with the following members
of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to
discuss the expansion of the Minimum Security Jail. The
County Judge gave an overview of the jail expansion. He said
that the plans had been drawn by Architect Emmett Trant and
that since then, Rick Ravey has taken over the business from
Mr. Trant and would be the continuing architect for the
project.
Mr. Ravey presented an update on the current plans and
revisions that would be required to comply with jail
standards, the city and ADA requirements.
