THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC [TEARING ON
TUESDAY, MAY 6, 1997 AT 1:00 P.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF
THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC HEARING IS FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF AN
APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF BRYAN TO CONDUCT AN OUTDOOR MUSIC
FESTIVAL. SAID FESTIVAL, ENTITLED "ANNUAL BRYAN BLUEGRASS
} FESTIVAL," IS TO BE HELD ON JUNE 6-7,1997 AT THE LAKE BRYAN PARK.
ANY PERSON MAY APPEAR AT THE HEARING AND GIVE TESTIMONY FOR OR
AGAINST THE GRANTING OF A PERMIT.

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider an application by the City of Bryan
to conduct an outdoor music festival on June 6-7, 1997, at the
Lake Bryan Park. The Public Hearing was held in the
Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos
County, Texas, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 1997,
with the following members of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Wm. S. Thornton, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in
attendance.
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against holding the proposed Bryan Bluegrass Festival
on June 6-7, 1997 at the Lake Bryan Park.
The County Judge noted there was no one present to offer
commentary against an application by the City of Bryan to
conduct an outdoor music festival on June 6-7, 1997, at the
Lake Bryan Park. He then declared the Public Hearing closed.
