Jones, County Judge, Absent; Tony Jones, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent; Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Presiding; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. Attached is a list of the citizens and officials in attendance. Commissioner Cauley gave the invocation' and led the pledge of allegiance. There was no citizen input and/or concerns. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #96/97-17.1 through 17.3, which would reallocate funds budgeted for the Building Maintenance department, Auditor's office. and increase the budget of Constable Precinct 5. On motion by Commissioner Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Walker, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. The Court proceeded to consider the change of status of the following employees. The Court next considered the following Claims as submitted by the County Treasurer for payment: 97-004523 through 97-004756 On motion by Commissioner Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Walker, the Court voted unanimously to approve the Claims as submitted. r. i On motion by Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the County payroll in the amount of $541,000.00 for the March 13, 1997 payroll. The court next considered a request by the Justice of the Peace to acquire a Court Management Software Program. Justice of the Peace Precinct 7 Place 1, George Boyett was the spokesman for the group of Justices. He explained the problems they are facing with several programs being used simultaneously. On motion by Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the Justices of the Peace to go out for RFP's with consultation being provided by the Computer/Network Services Department and to form a committee composed of Judge Boyett, Judge Truelove, M. J. Deen, John Reynolds and Commissioner Cauley to study the situation. On motion by Commissioner Cauley, seconded by Commis- sioner Walker, the Court voted unanimously to authorize the County Judge to execute a Tax Resale Deed to the following individual: Jocklyn Wallace - Lot 1, in the Figgures Tract as described in Volume 119, Page 267, Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas. The Court next considered approval of a requisition from Capital Expenditures for the purchase of a refrigerator for the County Court at Law I office. Cost of the refrigerator is $455.00. On motion by Commissioner Walker, seconded by I L - .v Commissioners Court meeting March 11, 1997 Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to approve the requisition in the amount of $455.00 to be paid from C Capital Expenditures for the purchase of a refrigerator for the County Court at Law I office. The Court proceeded to consider the following blanket Purchase Orders: Scarmardo Prod. The Court next considered awarding the following bid: Bid No. 97-033 Sheriff Office Uniforms • Cheryl Turney, Purchasing Agent, recommended acceptance of the bid submitted by R&R Uniforms. On motion by Commissioner Walker, seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the Purchasing Agent and award the contract to R&R Uniforms. A copy of the bid tabulation is attached hereto. The court next considered the request from Fairview Smetana W.S.C. to place a 2.0 inch road bore in the right-of- way of Enloe Drive approximately 900.0 feet southwest of J.C. Long Drive for water line installation. The site is located in Precinct 4. The County Engineer stated that all appeared to be in order and recommended approval. On motion by is Commissioner Cauley, seconded by Commissioner Walker, the Court voted unanimously to approve the request from Fairview Smetana W.S.C. and authorized the installation. Court next considered the request from Ferguson Burleson County Gas Gathering System to place a road bore in the right-of-way of Henderson Road approximately 0.2 mile west of its intersection with Clay Road in Millican, Texas.
