THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN A WORKSHOP SESSION ON
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1996 AT 3:00 P.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS
COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET,
SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS.
THE PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP IS TO HAVE A PRESENTATION BY MR. JOE
FROH FROM TEXAS COUNTY AND DISTRICT RETIREMENT SYSTEM.
The Courthouse is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request
for sign interpretive services must be made 48 hours before the meeting. To make arrangements,

WORKSHOP SESSION'
SEPTEMBER 10, 1996
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in
workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse
{
in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday
September 10, 1996, with the following members of the Court
present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
Attached is a list of citizens and officials in attendance.
The Commissioners Court met in Workshop Session to hear a
presentation by Mr. Joe Froh from the Texas County and District
Retirement System. Mr Froh explained in detail the implementation
of the'County Retirement System, the various ways an employee can
retire and the financial status of the County's plan. He
emphasized that the Commissioners Court makes all the decisions for
the County plan and benefits.
