BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT
THE COMMISSIONERS COURT WILL MEET IN REGULAR SESSION ON TUESDAY,
JUNE 4, 1996 AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURTROOM OF THE
BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 300 EAST 26TH STREET, SUITE 115, BRYAN,
TEXAS.
I. Consider and take action on a Resolution Delaying Consideration of an Order Authorizing
Certificates of Obligation.
2. Consider and take action on authorization for Coastal Securities to bid on competitive
bond sale.
3.. Adjourn.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
REGULAR MEETING
JUNE 4, 1996
Attached is a list of citizens and officials in
attendance.
The Commissioners Court of Brazos County (the "Court")
convened in regular session open to the public, on June 4,
1996, at the meeting place designated in the Notice (the
"Meeting"), and the roll was called of the members to wit:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, and the following Commissioners:
Gary Norton, Sandy Walker, Randy Sims,. and Carey Cauley, Jr..
All members of the Court were present, thus constituting a
quorum. Whereupon among other business, the following was
transacted at the Meeting: A written RESOLUTION DELAYING
CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDER AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATES OF
OBLIGATION (the "Resolution") was duly introduced for the
consideration of the Court and read in full. It was duly
moved and seconded that the Resolution prevailed and carried
by the following vote:
YES: 5 NOES: 0 ABSTENTIONS: 0
A copy the Resolution is attached to and made a part of these
minutes.
The next matter to be considered was authorization for
Coastal Securities to bid on the competitive bond sale. The
Court asked Mr. Martin if this was a conflict since Coastal
Securities was the County's Legal Advisor. They were assured
by Mr. Martin that this was all proper and there was on
conflict in that a different division of Coastal Securities
would be making the bid. On motion by Commissioner Walker,
seconded by Commissioner Cauley, the Court voted unanimously
to allow Coastal Securities to bid on the bond sale with the
stipulation that their bid was to be the first bid received
and opened.
There being no further business to come before the Court
the meeting was adjourned

RESOLUTION DELAYING CONSIDERATION OF AN ORDER
AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION
WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996 the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas (the
"Commissioners Court") adopted an "ORDER APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION
OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION" which order authorized
the publication of notice of the intent of the Commissioners Court to issue Certificates of Obligation
(the "Certificates") as described therein;
WHEREAS, such notice of intention was published on May 21, 1996 and May 28, 1996 in the
Bryan-College Slation Eagle;
WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court desires to delay the final adoption of the Order
authorizing the Certificates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF BRAZOS
COUNTY, TEXAS THAT the sale of the Certificates and the adoption of the Order authorizing same
is hereby set for 11:00 a.m. on July 9, 1996 and the Financial Advisor, Bond Counsel, and
representatives of the County are hereby authorized to take all action necessary to accomplish such sale
on such date. '
