MONDAY, JANUARY 22,1996 AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISISONERS COURTROOM
OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, SUITE 115,300 EAST 26TH STREET,
BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Elimination of credit cards.
2. Travel policy.
3. Computer recording of vacation leave.
The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for

WORKSHOP SESSION
JANUARY 22, 1996
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas met in a
Workshop Session in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse
in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday,
January 22, 1996, with the following members of the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.

The Commissioners Court met in workshop session to discuss the
following items:

1) Elimination of credit cards:
The Court was advised that there are currently 56 authorized VISA
card users. The cards are issued to the County Attorney's Office,
District Attorney's Office, Narcotic Task Force, Road and Bridge,
Sheriff's Department, Jail Administration, 85th District Court,

Community Supervision and Juvenile Probation. After much
discussion the Auditor was asked to inquire of the County
Depository about use of the cards.
2) Travel Policy:
The travel policy was reviewed and various changes were
recommended.
3) Computer recording of vacation leave:
Linda Stoddard reviewed the status of employee leave time and
procedure for accruing time. She asked for clarification on sick
leave accrual. The Court asked the Treasurer to prepare
recommendations for consideration.
