TRXA9 DEPUTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the posting of speed limits on North Dowling Road and on South Dowling Road in Precinct I. The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners' Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse, Room 115, 300 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas. The date of the hearing will be Tuesday, November 14, 1995 and the time of the hearing will be 10:30 am. All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or against the posting of speed limits on North Dowling Road and on South Dowling Road in Precinct 1. The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made 48 hours before the meeting. VOL PAG E.M.I. i r COMMISSIONERS' COURT PUBLIC HEARING NOVEMBER 14, 1995 The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a • Public Hearing to consider traffic Regulation on various county roads pursuant to Section 2.301 of the County Road and Bridge Act, Art. 6702-1 subchapter D, Vernons Civil Statutes in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 1996, with the following members of the Court present: i Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Absent; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Presiding; Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Absent; Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The following citizens and officials were in attendance: Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant Susan Gandy Admin. Asst. County Judge Ray Crow Road and Bridge • was to hear commentary f the Public Hearin h g e purpose o T for and against the proposed posting of speed limits on North I Dowling Road and on South Dowling Road in Precinct 1. Commissioner Norton opened the Public Hearing and noted that there was no one from the public sector to speak for or e against the posting of speed limits. He then turned the meeting over to Ray Crow, representative of the Road and Bridge Department who explained that on North Dowling Road from Quail Run to Hopes Creek Road the 85 percentile showed an average speed of 53 mph. He then recommended a posted speed limit of 50 mph. From Hopes Creek Road to North Graham Road the 85 percentile showed an average speed of 44.3 mph, he then recommended a speed limit of 40 mph. Along South Dowling Road, from North Graham Road to I&GN Road the 85 percentile showed an average speed of 39.3 mph. He then recommended a posted speed limit of 40 mph. From I&GN Road to Koppe Bridge a n VO 1PAQE-ZfL } 1 Road the 85 percentile showed an average speed of 43 mph. He then recommended a posted speed limit of 40 mph.
