BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the
posting of speed limits on Arrington Road and South Oaks Drive, South Oaks Subdivision, in
Precinct 1.
The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse,
Room 115, 300 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas. The date of the hearing will be Tuesday,
September 12, 1995 and the time of the hearing will be 10:00 a.m.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or
against the posting of speed limits on Arrington Road and South Oaks Drive in Precinct 1.
The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made 48 hours before the meeting. To make arrangements,

The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider traffic Regulation on various
county roads pursuant to Section 2.301 of the County Road and
Bridge Act, Art. 6702-1 subchapter D, Vernons Civil Statutes
in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan,
Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday,
September 12, 1995, with the following members of the Court
present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Absent;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Absent;
Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3, Presiding;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Ray Crow Road & Bridge
The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary
for and against the proposed posting of speed limits on
Arrington Road and South Oaks Drive in South Oaks Subdivision.
Ray Crow announced the average speed on South Oaks Drive was
28.8 miles per hour. The average speed on Arrington Road 0.1
mile North of Harpers Ferry was 34.6 miles per hour.
Commissioner Sims announced there was no one in
attendance to give commentary for or against the posting of
speed limits, then declared the Public Hearing closed.
