NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BRAZOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT

The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas will hold a Public Hearing to consider the
posting of speed limits and regulatory signs in the Oak Forest Subdivision in Precinct 3.
The place of the hearing will be the Commissioners' Courtroom, Brazos County Courthouse,
Room 115, 300 East 26th Street, Bryan, Texas. The date of the hearing will be Wednesday,
May 17, 1995 and the time of the hearing will be 10:00 am.
All interested persons are invited to attend said hearing and present their cause, if any, for or
against the posting of speed limits and regulatory. signs in the Oak Forest Subdivision in Precinct
3.
The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for
sign interpretive services must be made 48 hours before the meeting. To make arrangernents,

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
PUBLIC HEARING
MAY 17, 1995
The Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas held a
Public Hearing to consider traffic regulation on various
county roads pursuant to Section 2.301 of the County Road and
Bridge Act, Art. 6702-1 subchapter D, Vernons Civil Statutes.
The hearing was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 10:00
a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 1995, with the following members of
the Court present:
Alvin W. Jones, County Judge, Absent;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1, Presiding;
Sandie Walker, Commissioner of Precinct 2,;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Carey Cauley, Jr., Commissioner of Precinct 4, Absent;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

Ray Crow

The purpose of the Public Hearing was to hear commentary '
for and against the proposed posting of speed limits and
regulatory signs in the Oak Forest Subdivision in Precinct 3.
Ray Crow informed the Court that he had placed traffic
monitors on the roads and that the average speed on Wood Oak
was 26 miles per hour and on Oak Forest it was 28 miles per
hour. Using the 85 percentile, he said, the preferred speed
for the roads is 30 miles per hour. Commissioner Norton asked
that if at one time there wasn't a 30 mile per hour speed
limit in all subdivisions.
There being no further commentary, Commissioner Norton
declared the Public Hearing closed.
