THE COMMISSIONERS' COURT WIM MEET IN EXECUTIVE ! SESSION ON
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24, 1994 AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE COMMISSIONERS'
COURTROOM OF THE BRAZOS COUNTY COURTHOUSE, 800 EAST 26TH STREET,
SUITE 115, BRYAN, TEXAS.
1. Executive Session - Pursuant to Article 6252-17, Sec.2(e) - Confer with
Attorney on possible litigation regarding inmate telephones.
2. Action on Executive Session, if necessary.
3. Adjourn.
The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any
request for sign interpretive services must be made 48 hours before the meeting.

COMMISSIONERS' COURT
SPECIAL MEETING
AUGUST 24, 1994
A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:20
a.m. on Monday, August 24, 1994, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding;
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1;
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2, Absent;
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3;
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4;
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:
Ruth McLeod Executive Assistant
Richard Anderson Attorney for Peoples Telephone
Patricia Meronoff Bruchez, Goss at al
Maurice Mascorro Director of Sales
Paul Rieger Peoples Telep. d/b/a TELINK
At 9:20 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting
closed to the public so that the Court could meet in closed
executive session to discuss possible litigation about inmate
telephones as allowed under Section (6252-17(2)(e) Vernon's
Texas Civil Statutes.
At 11:20 a.m. the County Judge announced the meeting open
to the public.
on motion by Commissioner Sims, seconded by Commissioner
Norton, the Court voted unanimously to forward a letter to
terminate the contract with Peoples Telephone Company, Inc.,
d/b/a Telink, Inc.
There being no further business to come before the Court,
the meeting was adjourned.
