COMMISSIONERS' COURT ; SPECIAL MEETING JULY 18, 1994 Y f A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 1994, with the following members of the Court present: R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding; Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1; Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 2; Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3; Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4; Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk. The Court next considered Budget Amendment #93/94-24, which would transfer funds budgeted for the Non Departmental Department to various departments to cover cost overruns and put monies in the department where the expenses are incurred. On motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted unanimously to approve the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached hereto. The next matter for consideration was 'a tax refund to Life Insurance Company of Georgia. In a Court settlement it was agreed that the appraised value for 1993 be lowered from $1,714,270.00 to ;1,500,000.00 on motion by Commissioner VC, i' - 7~••~.~ -S~/ t a a r" x Yf{ { 5 M f?. I I f f 0 Commissioners Court meeting July 18, 1994 Norton, seconded by Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to refund $930.36 in county taxes for 1993 to Life Insurance Company of Georgia. The Court next considered approval of the Preliminary Plat of Franklin Estates, E.T.J. Subdivision in Precinct 4. Richard Vance, County Engineer, stated that he had reviewed the plat and it appeared to be in order. on motion by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Norton, the Court unanimously approved the Preliminary Plat of the Franklin Estates, E.T.J. Subdivision in Precinct 4 as submitted. The next matter for consideration by the Court was acceptance of an easement grant conveyed to Brazos County as easement for the purpose of expanding and improving Stousland Road in Precinct 1. on motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to accept the easement grant from Tommie Dell Grays Banks, Lula Grays and Lorenzo Grays for the expansion of Stousland Road located in Precinct 1.
