A special meeting of the Commissioners' Court of Brazos
County, Texas was held in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the
Courthouse in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, beginning at 1:00
p.m. on Friday, June 24, 1994, with the following members of
the Court present:
R. J. Holmgreen, County Judge, Presiding=
Gary Norton, Commissioner of Precinct 1=
Walter Wilcox, Commissioner of Precinct 21
Randy Sims, Commissioner of Precinct 3=
Milton Turner, Commissioner of Precinct 4=
Mary Ann Ward, County Clerk.
The following citizens and officials were in attendance:

The Court next considered approval of the minutes of the
Commissioners' Court meetings held March 7, 1994, March 14,
1994, March 21, 1994, March 28, 1994 (9:00 a.m. and 1:30
p.m.), April 4, 1994, April 7, 1994, April 11, 1994 (9:00 a.m.
and 2:00 p.m.), April 18, 1994, April 25, 1994, May 2, 1994,
May 3, 1994, May 9, 1994, May 16, 1994, May 23, 1994, May 31,
1994, June 6, 1994 and June 9, 1994. On motion by the County
Judge, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court voted
unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted.
The Court next considered Budget Amendment #93/94-20,
which would transfer funds budgeted for the Non Departmental
Department to various departments for auto insurance, fire
protection, computer equipment and purchase a, van for Juvenile
Services. On *motion by Commissioner Norton, seconded by
Commissioner Turner, the Court voted unanimously to approve
the budget amendment as submitted, a copy of which is attached
hereto.

Commissioners Court meeting June 24, 1994
The Court next considered an order appointing James A.
Amis, Jr. to sit as Special Judge in County Court at Law II on
August 15, 1994 and August 19, 1994 to allow Judge Ryan to
attend the Advanced Family Law Seminar in San Antonio. On
motion by Commissioner Turner, seconded by Commissioner Sims,
the Court voted unanimously to approve the Order naming James
A. Amis, Jr. as Special Judge for County Court at Law II for
the dates of August 15, 1994 and August 19, 1994. A full copy
of the order is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
The Court next considered action on one (1) Tax Resale
Deed and one (1) Corrected Tax Resale deed for property
acquired for the non-payment of taxes. On motion by
Commissioner Norton, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the Court
voted unanimously to authorize the County Judge to execute a
Tax Resale Deed to the following entity:
City of College Station - Being Lot 5, Block 7,
McCulloch Subdivision, according to the map or plat
thereof, recorded in Volume 122, Page 91, Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas
and
to executed a Corrected Tax Resale Deed to the following
people:
Florene K. Grace and Marvin Bruce Martin - Being
Tract 1: .25 acres, being the Northeast 1/2 of Lot
15, Kapchinskie Subdivision, out of the
Crawford Burnett League, as described in
Volume 244, Page 569, Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas
Tract 2: .25 acres, being the Southwest 1/2 of Lot
15, F. S. Kapchinskie Subdivision, as
described in volume 97, Page 348, Deed
Records of Brazos County, Texas
The Court next considered authorizing work outside of
county rights-of-way for the enhancement of county road
projects. The Road.and Bridge Department requested permission
to enter the private property of Lewis T. Corgey on Macey Road
to clear out a channel. The site in is Precinct 2. On motion
by Commissioner Wilcox, seconded by Commissioner Sims, the
' Court voted unanimously to authorize the work.

Commissioners Court meeting June 24, 1994
On motion by the County Judge, seconded by Commissioner
Wilcox, the Court voted unanimously to adopt a Resolution
requesting to amend the contract for services entered into on
June 1, 1993 by the County with First American Bank in the
capacity as the County depository. The Commissioners Court is
requesting that First American Bank convert all accounts owned
by the County and on deposit at First American Bank to
interest bearing accounts. The Court believes this will be

highly beneficial to the tax payers of the County.

Commissioners' Court, the following members were present:

The following proceedings were held:
THAT WHEREAS, on June 24, 1994, the Court heard and approved
a budget amendment for the 1993-1994 budget year for Brazos County,
Texas.
WHEREAS, an expenditure is necessary due to the necessity to
meet unusual and, unforeseen conditions which could not be
reasonably included in the original,. budget adopted September 13,
1993, the following amendment(s) to the original are hereby
authorized, as described on the attached 1 page(s).

On this the Tw. day of OZZZAA , 1994, the Commissioners
Court of Brazos County, Texas, convened in Regular Session at the
Special Term of the Court, at the Brazos County Courthouse, in the
City of Bryan, Texas, with the following members present, to-wit:

Gary Norton, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 1
Walter Wilcox, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 2
Randy Sims, County Commissioner, Precinct No. 3

Among other proceedings had, the following proposed order was
submitted:

WHEREAS, the Honorable Sarah Ryan, Judge of the County Court
at Law No. 2 of Brazos County, Texas, having made known to the
Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas, that on August 15-19,
1994, she will be in attendance at the Advanced Family Law Seminar
in San Antonio; and
WHEREAS, she has requested the appointment of the Hon. James
A. Amis, Jr. to sit as Special Judge of the County Court at Law
No. 2 of Brazos County, Texas on August 15 & 19, 1994 in all
matters that are, or may be, docketed on the Court's dockets for
those days, and to have and exercise all powers of a Special Judge
in relation to matters involved, it is therefore:
ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED, pursuant to the authority of
Article 30.03, Section 2, Code of Criminal Procedure, that the Hon.
James A. Amis, Jr., sit and hear all matters that are, or may be,
docketed on any of the Court's dockets on August 15 & 19, 1994, and
shall have and exercise all powers of such Special Judge in
relation to the matters involved;
WHEREAS, the Court having considered the proposed order and
deeming that it should be approved; it is therefore:
ORDERED, ADJUDGED AND DECREED by the Commissioners Court of
Brazos County, Texas, that the order as submitted having been read,

COUNTY OF BRAZOS )
WHEREAS, The Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas pursuant
to the authority granted by Section 116 Local Government Code V.T.C.A., as amended
and by Section 262 Local Government Code V.T.C.A., as amended, desires to amend
the contract for services entered into by the County with First American Bank In the
capacity as the County depository on June 1, 1993, and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners Court is of the opinion that the amendment
is highly beneficial to the tax payers of the County through the ability to earn additional
Interest, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Commissioners Court of Brazos County, Texas does
request the First American Bank to convert all accounts owned by the County, and on
deposit at First American Bank, to interest bearing accounts as set out in the agreement
dated June 1, 1993. This request and amendment to the contract dated June 1, 1993
Is in keeping with the provisions of the contract as noted on page 1 and page 4, and
FURTHER, it is requested that this amendment be effective with July 1,
1994.
WE certify that the forgoing is a true and correct copy of the resol ion duly
adopted by the Commissioner's Court of Brazos County on the Z,:V,day of ,
